What is Zump?

Updated: Nov 6, 2023

‘The UK’s first ever social network designed for the property market, launches in Bristol’

Zump is a social network for the property market that combines elements of social networking and a property marketplace to facilitate the buying and selling of homes. It leverages the power of social networking to connect individuals, real estate agents, and other property professionals within a networked community, creating a space for property-related interactions and transactions.

It’s a place where users can create profiles, connect with others, join groups or communities, and share information related to the property market. They can also post property listings, search from millions of properties based on their preferences, communicate with potential buyers or sellers, and stay up to date with the latest property trends, get advice on any topic, and find the inspiration, and support to create the perfect home.

The problem with the current system is that the property market is restricted by what is shown on the property portals, which is about 1% of the total number of homes in the UK. But data shows that 40% of people are unsatisfied in their home, and looking to move. This shows how restrictive the current system is.

Some of the features that the Zump network has been able to optimise:

  1. Property Listings: Users can create detailed property listings with descriptions, photos, and specifications to test the market and explore interest in their home without the hassle, commitment, and uncertainty of putting it up for sale

  2. Discover properties you won’t find on Rightmove and Zoopla: Zump gives you more homes to search and powerful tools, so you can find homes you love in the places you want to live.

  3. Networking and Messaging: Users can connect with others, send messages, and engage directly with buyers and sellers to ask questions, and explore sale and purchase opportunities.

  4. Notifications and Alerts: Users can receive notifications and alerts regarding new property listings, messages, or updates related to their interests.

  5. Integrated Services: Zump integrates additional services such as mortgages, legal assistance, or any other home improvement requirements, to enhance the overall user experience.

  6. Community and Groups: Users can join or create communities or groups focused on specific property types, locations, or interests to connect with like-minded individuals.

  7. Reviews and Ratings: Users can leave reviews and ratings for properties, agents, or other users, providing feedback and building trust within the community.

The overall objective of Zump is to create a fully connected and transparent social network for the property market via a dynamic and interactive platform that goes beyond traditional property listing websites. It seeks to foster a sense of community, collaboration, and engagement among users while facilitating property transactions and knowledge sharing within a trusted network.
